Waiting

Now for the waiting game. Let us count the ways:

  1. My tank and toolbox are at Ross Thompson’s being repaired, and the tank is being re-plated.
  2. I sent all of my polished aluminum parts off to GL Custom Cycles in Van Nuis, California, to be polished, seeing as if I live to be 80 I’ll never figure out how it’s done properly.
  3. Autosport Seattle has my frame (in order to sleeve and re-bush the brake, center stand, and side stand pieces) and most of my engine for machining.
  4. I’m awaiting the arrival of my Domiracer order, which contains some of the parts needed before I can start in on the gearbox.
  5. Until the tank and frame are done, I cannot head off for the paint shop. I still need a chain guard, too.

All of that aside, I did receive my SRM order, and all of the parts seem to be of very good quality. It was very exciting to open the box and start unwrapping the “gifts” I had been sent!

I will take pictures of everything in its “clean kit o’ parts” state and post it in the next entry.

Running expense list:

    $4,300 (previous entry total)
    ------
       300 Domiracer order of misc. bushings, etc.
    ======
    $4,600

Running time clock*:

hours   53 (previous entry total)
      ----
         7 (misc.)
      ====
        60 (total to date)

*I work at a leisurely pace.
